Mayor DelDuca makes surprise $20K donation from the Spirit of Generosity
VAUGHAN, ON (May 05) – On May 4, 2023, more than 350 guests gathered at Copper Creek Golf Club for Waves of Changes for Autism’s 4th Annual Sip and Savour event.
Mayor Steven DelDuca, as a surprise announcement, presented Waves of Changes for Autism with a donation of $20,000 from the Spirit of Generosity. Established in 2011 by former Mayor, and Waves’ Honourary Gala Chair, Maurizio Bevilacqua, the Spirit of Generosity has raised millions of dollars to enhance the lives of many in Vaughan and beyond.

Since being founded in 2016, Waves of Changes for Autism has raised nearly $1.4 million and funded 317 unique applications that help offset the cost of specialized autism therapies, tools and programs for children and families in Vaughan. The organization is among Canada’s top one per cent of charities, which direct more than 60 per cent of funds raised directly to programming.
